Activities to practice efl

The teching of the children's rights should go linked with the learning  of a foreign language, in our particular case is English. We  have suggested that the tale of the ugly duckling could be linked with the months of the year. Here you will find some activities to develop this topic.
1. Write next to the image the month which  it is celebrated.

2.Let's have a birthday party!
Wouldn't it be nice have a birthday party all together? Let's to design some cards to invite people to our party. Pay atenttion to the vocabulary.
What about if bring some snacks and a cake for  you party?

Show to your students how to congratulate to someone in their birthday

Finally, motivate to the students to use the words that have learned  during the party.

The beginning

TALES THAT ARE NOT TALES: PROMOTING CHILDREN'S RIGHTS THROGH TALES RELATED TASKS

My pedagogical intervention takes place in a public school in Bogota with second graders. I'm developing this project with my friend: LUISA FERNANDA PERILLA.
The purpose  the pedagogical intervention is promoting children's rights through tales. This pedagogical intervention has been planned in different stages. First of all it is necessary to raise awareness that kids for its conditions need a special care. Therefore,  kids need to know who they are, aand also  recognize the importance of having a name and family  and this way developing an identity. For this stage I have though in the ugly duckling's tale in order to familiarize them with these two  basic rights: name and family.  Using the next links we expect familiarize to the kids with the content of the tale.
